CLASSBUSTERTEACHER REPORT ASSISTANT

CLASSBUSTER / LEGAL

Privacy Policy

How Classbuster processes teachers' account information, lesson notes, optional Krisp data, and information needed to deliver and bill the service.

Effective date: 2 November 2026

Transcript retention: New transcript bodies are scheduled to expire 12 hours after server receipt; older imports may follow legacy retention windows. Read Section 6 for important distinctions, and ensure that every lesson recording is lawfully authorized.

1. Operator and contact

Classbuster is operated by Bojan Aleksic, Serbia. For privacy requests, including access, correction, or deletion, write to thembones90@gmail.com. A human will review your request and may need to verify account ownership before acting on it.

2. Information we process

  • Account information: email address, license or access-key identifiers, entitlement and subscription status, usage counts, and account-recovery information.
  • Teacher-provided content: teacher and student names or placeholders, lesson notes, optional remarks, chosen report settings, and content supplied for AI generation.
  • Optional Krisp integration: webinar or meeting metadata, transcript text, possible student names, webhook credentials, and pending or matched imports when the teacher connects the service.
  • Optional Classbuster Scout companion (Pro accounts): microphone and computer-playback audio selected by the teacher, temporary local audio/transcription files, lesson transcript text and timestamps, delivery status, and available speaker or student-name labels. Scout uses a separate authenticated Classbuster delivery route, not the Krisp webhook.
  • Optional feedback and private testimonial proposals: star ratings, feedback categories and comments you choose to send; and, only if you choose Share my story after sending feedback, a private testimonial proposal described in Section 7a.
  • Technical information: browser-local access settings and installation identifiers, request metadata and IP addresses in infrastructure logs or rate-limiting controls.
  • Billing information: purchase/subscription identifiers, plan, status and billing contact details returned by the payment provider. We do not directly receive full card numbers.

3. Why we process information

We use data to verify access, generate teacher-requested drafts, provide optional transcript import, prevent abuse, maintain entitlements, deliver operational emails, troubleshoot failures, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Processing is based on the need to provide the requested service, legitimate security/operational interests, consent where applicable, and legal obligations.

4. AI and external service providers

Lesson content sent for generation is transmitted to an external AI model provider (Anthropic) to produce draft reports. Content may therefore be processed outside your country under the provider's applicable terms and privacy protections.

Operational providers may include Vercel (hosting), Upstash/Redis (account, quota, and import storage), Lemon Squeezy (checkout and subscription billing), transactional email providers (where configured), and Krisp when you choose to connect it. Where operational notifications are enabled, account events including an email address may be forwarded to a restricted Google Sheets/Apps Script workflow.

Each provider has its own privacy information and processing arrangements. We do not sell teachers' or students' submitted lesson content to advertisers.

5. Children's information and teacher responsibility

Classbuster is offered to adult education professionals and is not intended for children to create their own accounts. Lesson notes may concern minors. Teachers and organizations submitting that data are responsible for confirming they have an appropriate legal basis, providing required notices, and obtaining any necessary consents before using Classbuster, an external AI provider, or Krisp. Avoid full names and unnecessary identifying details whenever possible.

6. Optional Krisp transcripts and retention

Krisp imports and the separately installed Scout companion are optional. A teacher activates the connection using a personal webhook, and inbound transcripts may be stored as pending or matched imports linked to a stable account identity. Rotating or disconnecting a webhook token does not, by itself, remove previously stored imports.

Important retention disclosure: new Krisp and Scout transcript bodies use a 12-hour expiry measured from server receipt. Older unmarked Krisp imports follow an earlier retention window (14 days by default, configurable from 1 to 90 days); older Scout records may follow a 24-hour window. New transcript deadlines are not extended by matching, retries, or reimport. These deadlines concern transcript bodies in active application storage, not every category of account metadata, content-free delivery receipts, provider logs or backups. Data may take additional time to disappear from caches, logs or service-provider backups. Rotating a token or disconnecting an integration does not by itself remove earlier imports; contact us to request a deletion review. Teachers should avoid submitting sensitive student identifiers unless necessary, and may contact us to request review or deletion of stored imports.

Scout local delivery: The teacher chooses the local audio sources. Temporary lesson recordings and transcript files may stay on the teacher's computer during processing and while delivery has not been confirmed. After authenticated server delivery is confirmed, Scout is designed to remove temporary content files while retaining content-free delivery receipts and technical settings. Failed or unconfirmed lessons remain available for retry. Using Scout does not require connecting Krisp. The teacher is responsible for appropriate recording notices, permissions and consents before capturing a lesson, especially when children are involved.

7. Other retention and local storage

Account and subscription data can remain while an account is active and for additional periods needed for reconciliation, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. Security and usage logs may be kept by infrastructure providers under their respective retention policies. We have not established a single universal deletion deadline for all data categories.

Classbuster uses browser local storage for access-key and installation-related state. It is not intended as an advertising-tracking system. Clearing browser storage may require account recovery and does not automatically erase server-held account or Krisp data.

7a. Feedback and private testimonial proposals

Feedback: ratings, categories and comments you send about a report are stored in Classbuster application storage (Upstash/Redis) for up to 180 days and, where operational notifications are enabled, may also be forwarded to the restricted Google Sheets workflow described in Section 4.

What a testimonial proposal contains: after you generate a report or send feedback, Classbuster may offer an optional Share my story form. We ask each account for one story only. If you send it, we store a private testimonial proposal containing: the story text exactly as you edited it; the optional name and teaching context you typed; the email address of your signed-in Classbuster account, which the server reads from our account records rather than from the form; a one-way account reference (not your license key); a link to your related feedback item when it belongs to the same account; and the time it was received. Please leave out student names, lesson details and transcript content.

Who can see it and how long it is kept: a proposal is visible only to the Classbuster owner through owner-authorized tools. It is not shown to other users, not sent to analytics or advertisers, not forwarded to the Google Sheets workflow or any other third party, and not added to the public testimonials page. It is stored in Classbuster application storage (Upstash/Redis, hosted with Vercel) and expires automatically 180 days after it is received. Copies may take additional time to disappear from provider caches, logs or backups. So that we do not ask you again, we also keep a small marker containing only the one-way account reference and the number of your proposal (no story text, name or email address). It does not expire on its own and is removed if you ask us to delete your proposal or your account. You may ask us to delete a proposal earlier by writing to thembones90@gmail.com.

Optional contact: the required checkbox only allows Classbuster to email your account address to ask about your story and to request permission before publishing anything. We may never contact you, and you may ignore or decline any message without any effect on your account, plan or reports. Sending a proposal is optional; choosing Not now or Discard sends nothing.

Publication only with separate consent: sending a proposal is not permission to publish. Nothing from a proposal is published unless you later give separate, explicit consent to the exact quoted wording and to how you will be named (for example, first name, initials or anonymous). Different or edited wording requires asking you again. You may withdraw a published quote at any time by writing to us, and we will remove it from classbuster.com.

8. Sharing, security, and international transfers

Information is shared with service providers only as needed to operate the features described here or when required by law. We use access controls, server-side API credentials, and other safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee perfect security. Service providers may process information in countries outside Serbia or your own jurisdiction, subject to their contractual and legal frameworks.

9. Your choices and rights

You may choose not to connect Krisp and should submit only the minimum necessary lesson information. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability. Write to thembones90@gmail.com with your request; we will assess it under applicable law and inform you if verification or further information is needed. You may also contact an applicable data-protection authority.

10. Changes

This policy may change as Classbuster's features, providers, or retention systems change. The effective date identifies the current public version. Significant changes will be communicated where required by law.
